Coupler is a passive device that distributes a part of the signal from the RF path. It’s a branching unit with different coupling attenuation values, and can connect the distribution system extension link to joint the output node of the antenna. The coupling of the device is determined by the rated coverage power level of coupled
radiation outlet which is connected to the antenna outlet.
According to the structure of the coupler, it is divided into micro-strip coupler and cavity coupler. According to coupling range, it can be divided into different types: coupling range less than or equal to 15dB, three-way coupling range between 15dB and 30dB, coupling range more than 30dB.
